…..a gradual reconstruction of the incredible mating call of the Cape Weaver bird of South Africa to entice a partner to share its brilliantly woven nest. It starts with rhythmic and textural fragments of the call on percussion. As the piece progresses, these are replaced more and more by the pre-recorded birdsong they are denied from, until the complete call is heard.
